Visitation

So now that everyone is gone, perhaps I should poke my head up.

Much time has past and many things have happened. When I think of where I was when last I wrote on this blog, and where I now sit writing this, the mind boggles.

I wonder, though, why I write this. I am near to sure that anyone who once read this blog have well since stopped coming to check it. In fact, most of the people who once read this blog no longer have blogs themselves, and most likely the whole blog phenomena has now passed, forgotten, into some kind of internet oblivion. In fact, it is entirely likely that no one will ever read this, and I am like the archer firing arrows into the dark.

Perhaps it is better that way. I found that when I knew that people I saw everyday were reading the blog, I would naturally edit myself, because I didn't want people to be offended or think less of me. In fact, I found that I would write for the express purpose of impressing them.

In fact, I don't really know why I am even writing this, though I believe I would like to start writing on as regular a basis as possible. I haven't been writing as often as I would like in the past year or so. I find that I lack the mental space to be able to find the desire.

So we will see what will happen. I don't really know what I shall write; the idea of just creating a record of daily events is horrible, since nothing ever happens during my day... :)

So we will see what will happen.

Hey--I read it Matt.
How are you doing?

Too bad I couldn't get a hold of you before Presbytery in Edmonton in October 2006.

I stumbled across your blog and I too would like to get back into blogging but lack motivation to 'do it right'.

I must find purpose and direction first and then maybe the desire will follow.

I don't want to write in vain but if it serves a higher purpose other than promoting myself then perhaps I'll find my ambition to start again.

My 2 bits. Good luck in your endeavors!!!

can you not simply write for your own enjoyment?
